RESERVATIONS

Angela Hartnett, the successful chef patron of the one Michelin starred Murano, a fine-dining Italian restaurant in the heart of Mayfair, is opening up her kitchen for an exclusive TASTE PORTUGAL 2014/15 Sunday lunch event. 

On Sunday 9 November, she will be joined by Nigel Haworthhead chef at Northcote, near Blackburn.

The trio will be completed by the French chef, Benoît Sinthon, executive chef at Il Gallo d’Oro, Madeira, and the island’s only Michelin starred chef.

Together they will produce a dégustation lunch with a harmonised wine menu, presented by top sommeliers Antonio Lopes and Matteo Ramazzina.

Menu
The four-course meal, opening with an aperitif of Colinas Espumante Brut Rosé 2009, will comprise wood smoked Kilnsey trout loin with fennel pollen, sweet onion and ‘hints of the garden’, served with Esporão Reserva Branco 2013; pheasant angolotti with rosemary and black truffle, paired with Campolargo Branco 2011; medallions of venison with figs, quince, pata negra and wild mushrooms, served with Principal Grande Reserva Tinto 2009; and a delectable tentation of Tainori chocolate with Madeira banana and passion fruit, accompanied appropriately by a Blandy Verdelho 1996, Single Harvest.
