NEVER CEASING to be amazed by the quality and diversity of the unique Portuguese products they would find on their trips back home, the team at The Portuguese Conspiracy decided that there should be a place for them in London. With this, the idea for the TPC Delicatessen was born. Now celebrating its first anniversary, the shop, based in Dalston, offers a wide range of Portuguese products: wine, olive oil, fish conserves, cheese chutneys, chouriço, alheiras, presunto and many other goodies. Their range is an ever-expanding work in progress.
They also offer a wide range of high quality Portuguese wine at great value, complemented by wine tastings where you can learn about the amazing world of Portuguese wine. With more than 250 different native grape varieties, and (even more) quality brands and producers, you’ll always have something new to discover.
The delicatessen has its own café – a cosy space, filled with personality, offering a range of Portuguese delicacies, lunch specials, homemade cakes and, of course, the famous pastéis de nata. Since, in Portugal, the best conversations and family gathering always start (and finish) in the kitchen, one of the shop and café’s main features is a real home kitchen open for everyone to view. All of their food is cooked and prepared on site by Rita, Susana, Sofia and Bruno.
The café can also be booked for private events and can cater for groups of up to 40 people, with a choice of a completely bespoke food and wine menu tailored specifically for your event.
