AFTER MONTHS of planning, TASTE PORTUGAL 2014/15 is nearly upon us, and next Tuesday sees the official press launch at Notting Hill Kitchen.

Members of the international press have been invited to come along and mingle at one of the key venues for the festival, to find out more about what the programme has in store. The dégustation menus, extravagant dinners, wine tasting events and master-classes; the hunting, shooting and fishing day trips; and the cooking demonstrations offered by some of Portugal’s best Michelin starred chefs – there is so much to look forward to, and this will be the opportunity for those who will spread the word further to find out more. It will also be the occasion for getting dates firmly penned into the diary.

Guests will not only be treated to a verbal appetiser of all the great things to come over the following months, but they will enjoy a sumptuous amuse-bouche in the form of a delicious array of Portuguese canapés and carefully selected assortment of wines such as Malhadinha Nova, Niepoort and Colinas, as prepared by chef patron Luís Baena
